London's Metropolitan Police claims to have increased security after a firm that stores information on its officers and employees was breached. Late on Saturday, the force reported that "unauthorised access to the IT system" of one of its vendors had occurred. It said that although the unnamed company had access to officers' and staff's names, ranks, pictures, vetting statuses, and payroll numbers, it did not have access to their addresses, phone numbers, or financial information.
