Wrong take on UK law led to faulty order: Supreme Court

A 7-judge bench, in overturning a 26-year-old Supreme Court judgment in the P V Narasimha Rao case, declared that the previous decision was based on a misguided interpretation of the laws governing freedom of speech in both the United Kingdom and India, and noted that in the last two decades even UK SC has allowed prosecution of corrupt elected representatives.
