    SEC accuses NY businessman, associates of fraud under EB-5

    The SEC has charged Nadim Ahmed, his companies NuRide Transportation Group and NYC Green Transportation Group, and immigration attorney Mehreen Shah for deceptive practices in soliciting investments for the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. The SEC claims that Ahmed misled investors by falsely assuring compliance with program requirements and diverted funds. Additionally, Ahmed, Shah, and three other entities sold unregistered securities without meeting the necessary exemptions.
